The One Who Got Away is a wonderful podcast filled with heartbreaking and inspiring excerpts from messages that people have left for a person who left their lives.
I get to create the social media content for these amazing stories and in doing so, try to put images and colours to the sometimes very real / hopeful / painful words of those seeking for closure in relationships, events or even past versions of themselves.
Some of these illustrations are very delicate, carefully measured and polished to the last detail. Some of them are messy and raw, just like the messages themselves. With every one of them I try to represent the feeling behind the person who is brave enough to call and leave a message for that person, that lost love, family member or version of themselves who got away.
