Gula: a project on excessive consumerism.

This project aimed to create an impact on the subject of how much and how often we consume beyond the natural limits of what is necessary. The main goal of the project was to portray the excess in which we so unconsciously (or not) seek to find fulfillment. We get so easily lost in the abundant offer of stuff and we are lead to believe that the more we consume, the happier, more successful, prettier, smarter or more integrated we will be. In order to change that, we first have to take an honest look at our consuming patterns. Or at these illustrations, precisely made for all of us who have avoided this uncomfortable truth for so long.

The illustration series is divided in four areas: material consumption, overeating, visual consumption and some of the reasons that drive us to buy, eat and watch the way we excessively do.
